9ONE5-Flawless Locks

The market of hair products is such a saturated one; it’s so hard to find products that are right for your locks and then there’s the perpetual questioning of do you actually need that styling product!?
As the Winter season sets in, you might be saying sayonara to heavily-highlighted ends and sea salt spray, but one thing is for sure – hydrated, shiny, lush locks that are full of life will never go out of style; no matter the season, your hair type, colour or preferred style.

We have rounded up five must-have products that can be used on all hair types and integrated into all styles…

Oribe is the epitome of luxury in hair care; from the gorgeously sleek packaging to the scent of the products to simply how magnificent their functionality is! I first discovered the iconic brand at Rachel Zoe’s blowdry bar in New York, Dream Dry. It was one of the best blowdries I have ever had; and ever since, I’ve been stocking up Oribe products on visits to the US. So, you can imagine my excitement when it was announced that the brand was now available in Australia!

Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream is an opulently rich leave-in conditioner; it is one of the very best hair-moisturising crèmes I have ever used! It calms frizz and leaves hair ridiculously hydrated and has a fresh, florally apricot scent. The luxe crème is infused with tiny shimmer particles, taking shiny locks to a WHOLE new level. It’s perfect to use on damp hair prior to styling; or as a finishing product on styled hair – the smallest amount goes the looongest way!

Oribe’s Dry Texturising Spray is an absolute icon, promising more volumised, more glamorous hair. Think of this product like a hero dry-shampoo; like a Chanel 2.55 to a black leather handbag. It’s been used on the locks of everyone from Kim Kardashian to Scarlet Johansson to J.Lo… This fine spray absorbs oil at the roots but leaves zero residue; it is perfect to use throughout hair ends to add volume and subtle hold, it’s virtually undetectable and can be layered and layered; without ever looking too overdone.

Kerastase really can do no wrong; Ciment Thermique from the Resistance collection is a heat-activated blowdry primer for weakened hair. It promises 85% less breakage from blow-drying and I really have no idea how I ever lived without it. The gel-like crème is absorbed immediately, it leaves no sticky residue but smooths ends and strengthens the hair, it’s perfect to use when your hair is feeling weak or damaged; such as after a weekend exposed to the elements.

How many times have you styled your hair to perfection, only to go out to a special event and find in only a couple of hours later; your hair is flat and lifeless. Problem solved with Shu Uemura’s Volume Maker Brush; a must-have product that is the size of a blush-brush, filled with root-boosting hair powder that adds volume to all styles; it’s a weightless hair powder that adds body and texture where you need it most. A little bit goes a long way and the click-brush applicator is perfect for popping into your clutch for special events.

You have your styling products sorted; but what about the styler; it’s no secret that we are huge fans of the ghd eclipse; from shiny straight locks to tousled curls; this styler can do it all. It’s taken the original ghd styler to a whole new level with new innovative technology that maintains a temperature of 185c throughout all phases of styling; all you need to know, is that this means that you can achieve styles quicker and with less effort; while ensuring your hair is as protected as can be at all times. Healthier hair and more time to primp and preen? We don’t even need to think twice, it’s a must have.
